Features

The core features of Navidrome distinguish it from other music servers. It not only reads and utilizes your carefully curated metadata but also offers robust support for compilations such as Various Artists albums and multi-disc albums. The multi-user feature ensures everyone has their own play counts, playlists, favourites, among others. Moreover, its efficient resource usage along with multi-platform capability makes it compatible across macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Additionally, Navidrome stands out for its user-friendly design that includes ready-to-use binaries for all major platforms including Raspberry Pi. It actively monitors your library for changes like importing new files or reloading new metadata without any manual intervention. Its themeable Web interface based on Material UI guarantees a modern and responsive user experience. Furthermore, the software is compatible with all Subsonic/Madsonic/Airsonic clients and supports on-the-fly transcoding that can be set per user/player with Opus encoding.
