Omeka
Omeka is a free, flexible, and open source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections and exhibitions. Its five-minute setup makes launching an online archive or exhibition as easy as launching a blog.

Features

The software boasts an array of distinctive features. With a single installation of Omeka S, users can create and manage multiple sites seamlessly. It allows the publication of items with linked open data enhancing connectivity to the Semantic Web. Using DPLA-ready resource templates, items can be described effortlessly. Additionally, Omeka S can be extended by installing modules which enhance functionality such as mapping, collecting, importing and connecting resources.

Further flexibility is offered when it comes to design. Each Omeka S site can be styled using a unique fully-responsive theme that fits any screen size for an optimal user experience. It also supports Cloudron user-management through a pre-installed Ldap module where user email and name attributes settings are done with 'mail' and 'username'. The default user role is 'researcher' which is the lowest role. Users have the option of extending the functionality by manually installing in the directory '/app/data/modules' using Cloudron CLI or file manager UI.
